About "Free Market" THE FREE MARKET is an educational newsletter of the Lithuanian Free Market Institute, published in Lithuanian and English bi-monthly since 1994. THE FREE MARKET promotes the ideas of economic liberalism based on the principles of individual freedom and responsibility, free market and limited government. For six years, THE FREE MARKET has been the unwavering champion of the free market, offering comprehensive economic analysis and analytical articles on topical issues; as well as presenting ideas and works on classical liberalism. THE FREE MARKET is a perfect teacher of economic thought, helping readers to further understand economic trends and transformations, and striving to assist them in achieving a greater understanding of life. The audience of our newsletter covers a wide spectrum, including business leaders, diplomats, representatives of state institutions, journalists, members of academia and students. In short, THE FREE MARKET readers are intellectuals with a passion for free market and free society, unrestricted initiative and well-being. At the Lithuanian Free Market Institute, we believe that financial independence is essential to the effective pursuit of our mission. Such independence can only be made possible by the voluntary support of individuals, corporations and foundations committed to the ideal of the free market. That is why we do not accept funds from the Lithuanian government. This independence has enabled us to remain free from the pressures and influence of political parties and interest groups and to promote the values of the free market. We are proud to have remained impartial advocates of the free market since our founding in 1990, for having influenced economic policy formation in Lithuania, and for expanding the circle of our fellow-thinkers. Our goal is to promote these values and ideas by increasing the audience of THE FREE MARKET. Therefore we invite you to consider helping us reach our goal by telling friends about our newsletter and by recommending it as a valuable source of information and wisdom. By subscribing to THE FREE MARKET, you support a free market.
