The goal of the conference is to advance an effective anti-corruption strategy designed to eliminate the conditions for abuse of official power. Discussion will focus on proposals for deregulation as a tool of combating corruption in such areas as customs, building and public procurement procedures. The conference will also discuss ways to strengthen the role of civil society and mass media in the fight against corruption.
